It took 1 Year & 10 months for Apink to make their long-awaited comeback and they came back with a full album. Apink will promote as 5 without Naeun who has participated in the comeback and the album.
Dilemma [Title Track] 💙💙💙
Dilemma is about the dilemma of staying in an unhealthy relationship or leaving the relationship, which both are equally unpleasant and agonizing.
Not a total fan of the song, so let’s start with what I don’t like. First of all it’s just not my vibe which means the song needs to be extra good for me to like it, and it does fall short for me. The chorus is not for me, I found the chorus awkward and dissatisfying. I’m not a fan of dance breaks in general, and they could have gone without it in this song in my opinion. Dance breaks are cool when performed, but when listening to the songs they don’t do anything for me.
I freaking love Hayoung’s pre-chorus! Truthfully I can listen to Hayoung’s pre-chorus on-repeat and after some listens the rest of the song has grown on me. The reason I did not just throw the song in the dirt after the first listen was because of the verses and the pre-chorus.
This song made me appreciate Apink’s other releases a lot more, but we are in a comeback period and as a huge fan of Apink this comeback should be the main focus for now.
MV & Etc.
Can we take a good minute to appreciate the amazing styling and concept? The dresses in the first shot are chef’s kisses, and the white outfit with gold boots is incredible. The MV is beautiful and it contains a lot more meaning than their earlier releases – there aren’t just pretty sets and shots anymore. I might do a post where I analyze the MV and the song, we will see.
Their visuals are on point as always, stunning and charming. I have no doubt that the album photocards are going to be beautiful and I will get them all.
HOLY MOLY 💙💙💙💙
HOLY MOLY is about discovering the feeling of love and running with it. Co-written by Naeun.
The song started well and it never let go of the good feeling throughout the song. The title track didn’t feel like an Apink song, but this one definitely does and it warms my heart.
My Oh My 💙💙💙💙
My Oh My is about overcoming fear and the dark by the comfort of a significant other.
A slower song, and the song is beautiful. The lyrics and the tempo of the song is amazing. The lyrics speak perfectly to me as I was once lost and went through a rough time until I discovered Apink where I found strength and comfort. They have been my star ever since and whenever I feel lost I look up at the sky. The song can be interrupted both ways: Apink finds comfort in the fans and the fans find comfort in Apink.
Nothing 💙💙💙
Nothing by JooJiRong (consisting of Chorong, Eunji & Namjoo) is about breaking up a relationship that goes nowhere, releasing that they are better by themself and there are no feelings left in the relationship.
It’s a great song, but most likely I am not going to put it on by myself to listen to it. The showcase performance made me like it a little more.
Red Carpet 💙💙💙💙
Red Carpet by YOS (consisting of Bomi, Naeun & Hayoung) is about enjoying yourself and having fun, and to let all your worries and troubles aside.
I wasn’t feeling the first listen of the song, but when Bomi and Hayoung performed this on the showcase I started to like it a lot better. At first I thought it was just a funky dance song, but when they performed it they showed the song’s sexiness and charisma.
Bomi and Hayoung absolutely killed the stage with their charisma and sexiness. A little sad that Naeun wasn’t performing with them and I hope that we eventually get Red Carpet performed by all three together.
Single Rider 💙💙💙
Single Rider is about having confidence in your choices in life even though they are different from the standard and the thrill that comes with it.
The first part of verse 1 reminds of an older american pop song, which I don’t remember the name of. Other than that it’s a good song, but it’s still not my vibe and type of music I like to listen to.
Free & Love 💙💙💙💙💙
Free & Love is literally about being free and in love. Lyrics by Chorong.
This is so my type of song and it’s my favorite song on the album!! Chorong’s english warms my heart and it’s just such a lovely song which boosts my mood.
Just Like This 💙💙💙
Just Like This is about reminiscing about old love and if the feelings are mutual that they can try again. Lyrics by Namjoo.
A great slow tempo song, and the lyrics are perfect.
Trip 💙💙💙
I do not know what Trip is about – it’s either about a difficult journey between two lovers or it’s about two lovers that still love each other, but they went two different paths. Co-written by Hayoung.
Trip is a sad ballad. Musically the song is not speaking to me, but I just love listening to their voices and maybe if they perform this song a few times I will like it a lot better.
Dream 💙💙💙💙
Dream is about the special meetings with Apink in our dreams and how they will shine on us through the night. Written and co-produced by Eunji.
Dream is very much like Trip, but I like Dream a little better. The song flows smoother, and when I close my eyes I can feel their warmth under the stars.

Thank you is Apink’s 10th anniversary song and is meant as a thank you to Pandas for all the memories and love they have given. Co-written by Bomi.
This song came out 19th April, 2021 and was later included in this album. Every fan song Apink has released has perfectly illustrated the amazing relationship between Apink and Panda.
Overall 💙💙💙
I’m so glad that we got a full album release with 10 new songs, but this is one of my least favorite albums by Apink and I liked more songs on their last mini-album Look than I did on this full album. The overall sound and vibe of this album did not fit me, which is a bummer, but I will have the songs I really like on repeat and I’m going to enjoy this whole comeback because they deserve it and nothing will separate me from the bond I have with Apink.
